Chip graduated from Shades Valley High School. He served in the U.S. Marine Corps and had a career in restaurant and bar management for Mountain Brook Inn and other establishments. In his leisure, he enjoyed spending time with his children and grandchildren, watching Auburn Tigers sports, and playing golf.
Chip is preceded in death by his father, Ernest Clyde Wooley Sr. He is survived by his mother, Carol Faye Wooley; his two sons and daughter, Christian, Connor, and Caroline Wooley; the mother of his children, Mary Mello Wooley, to whom he was previously married for 20 years. Chip is also survived by his grandchildren, Ellie, James, and Eden Wooley; siblings, Renee Evans and Leigh Gray; and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be from 3-5 p.m. on Friday, October 3, 2025 at Ridout's Southern Heritage Funeral Home, 475 Cahaba Valley Road, Pelham, AL 35124.
