Hans Lee Hansen

HANSEN, HANS LEE, 68, of Findlay, Ohio, passed away July 12, 2012 in Birmingham, Alabama. He worked in the insurance industry for 48 years, retiring from American Family Insurance in December 2011. He married the former Debra Ann Johnson of Donna, Texas in 1964 before graduating from Texas A&I University, Kingsville in 1967. Mr. Hansen was a member of Gateway Church in Findlay, active on the local Salvation Army’s board of directors, and an avid supporter of Boy Scouts of America. He dedicated his life to his family, loving his grandchildren very much. Mr. Hansen was preceded in death by his parents, Paul V. Hansen and Eureka L. Cox Hansen of Donna, Texas. Survivors include Mr. Hansen’s wife, Debra A. Hansen of Findlay; two sons, Dale J. Hansen (Aliesha) of Birmingham, Alabama, and Hans David Hansen (Audrey) of Findlay; grandchildren, Grace A. Hansen (12), Hans Paul Hansen (10), and Savannah L. Hansen (3); one brother, Paul David Hansen (Tommye) of Houston, Texas; brother-in-law, Marion Jack Johnson (Sherrie) of Corpus Christi, Texas; niece, Melinda L. White; nephew, Mark D. Hansen; and niece, Karen Johnson-Moorhead. Visitation will be 4-6 p.m. Sunday, July 15, 2012 at Ridout’s Southern Heritage Funeral Home in Pelham, Alabama. The funeral service will be 11 a.m. Monday, July 16, 2012 in Ridout’s Southern Heritage Chapel, Pelham, and the burial will follow in Southern Heritage Cemetery, Pelham.
