Harvey Edward Fitts, age 74, of Bessemer, AL passed away peacefully on July 16, 2025. He was born to Virgil Beck Fitts Jr. and Blakey Fitts on December 6, 1950. He was a graduate of West End High School and went on to have a career as an engineer for the Railroad. On June 7, 1980 he married his loving wife Brenda Robinson Fitts.
Harvey was a member of the Zamora Shrine Temple, he also had a love for NASCAR, watching the New York Yankees play baseball, and routing for the Crimson Tide.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Virgil Beck Fitts Jr. and Blakey Fitts; brother, Robert "Bob" Fitts.
Harvey leaves behind his wife, Brenda Robinson Fitts; children, Bridget Chambliss (Jimmy), Shelley Bedford (Robert) and Allison Atkins (Andy), brothers, Donald Fitts (Missy) and David Fitts; 15 grandchildren and one great grandchild; and numerous cousins, nephews and nieces.
The family will have a private gathering in his honor.
