

Ina graduated from West End High School and earned her Master of Education Degree from Jacksonville State University. Her professional career as a teacher spanned several years with Oxford City, Anniston City, Clay County, Coffee County, Sylacauga City, and Arab City schools. In addition to teaching children, she enjoyed spending time in nature and helping others.
Ina was preceded in death by her mother, Jane Ann Carlisle; her father, Leroy Carlisle; and in-laws, Martha and Gerald Crews, Glenda and Ronnie Hyche, and James and Janice Littleton.
Ina is survived by her husband, Richard Herman Littleton, to whom she was wed on June 6, 1969; one son, Patrick Michael Littleton, 52; and in-laws, Jerry and Jimmy Lou Brakel.
The family would like to extend a special “thank you” to the staff of Southeast Hospice and to Ina’s personal caregivers for their support during the past year. We are forever grateful. Mary Hallman, Carmen Alonzo-Carrera, April Garrett, Shannon Dunn, Beth Fortenberry, and Ernie Willis, you were always here for Ina. Because of your caring and compassionate care, Ina’s final days on earth were the best anyone could have hoped for. You will forever be a part of our family. Thank you.
Visitation will be at Ridout's Southern Heritage Funeral Home in Pelham, Alabama on Sunday, October 26, 2025 from 2-3 p.m., followed by A Service to Celebrate Ina Carol's Life at 3 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be at Southern Heritage Cemetery, Pelham.
