James C. Park, Sr., age 76, of Leeds and formerly of Birmingham and Trussville, passed away January 3, 2019. He was a 1960 graduate of Ensley High School and a graduate of the University of Alabama in Tuscaloosa, where he was a member of Lambda Chi fraternity.
Mr. Park was a member of First Baptist Church Leeds and a former member of Pike Avenue Baptist Church and Roebuck Parkway (now Deerfoot) Church of Christ.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Cecilia Ferguson Park; parents, James D. Park and Ruby Morris Park; and sister, Jo Ellen Park Beavers.
Survivors include Mr. Park's daughter, Jennifer Lollar (Wayne) of Leeds; son, Jim Park of Leeds; step-children, Doug Moore (Karen) of Indian Springs, and Anne Alldredge and Tim Moore of Birmingham; and grandchildren, Sam Lollar, Baylee Park, Logan Park, Colin Moore, Connor Moore, Jared Alldredge, Jacob Alldredge, Rachel Moore and Michael Moore.
The family will receive friends at Ridout's Southern Heritage Funeral Home in Pelham at 12 noon on Monday, January 7, 2019 with a graveside service in the adjacent cemetery at 1 p.m. Pastor Steven Weems of First Baptist Church Leeds will officiate.
