James Elmer Poole

Mr. Poole was retired from the United States Army, was a veteran of the Vietnam War, and had been employed with IBM for 35 years. He was a member of American Legion Post #113, Elizabethtown, KY and the National Association of Watch and Clock Collectors.

He was preceded in death by three brothers, Allen Poole, Kenneth Poole, and Jerry Poole. He is survived by his wife, Angie Poole of Rineyville, KY; two daughters, Noelle Clemmons of Stafford, VA and Shawn Patronis of Santa Rosa Beach, FL; five grandchildren, Nicholas, Zachary, Alexandra, Chase, and Cooper; his parents, Howard and Hazel Stephens of Owensboro, KY; one brother, William Stephens and his wife, Jan of Owensboro, KY; a niece and nephew, Kevin and Renee, both of Bedford, IN; and his special animals, Prissy, Mama, Pete, Pretty Lady and High Pocket.

A graveside service for Mr. Poole will be at 2:00 pm on Tuesday, October 7, 2014 at Southern Heritage Cemetery in Pelham, AL. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at Southern Heritage Funeral Home.
