He was born in Chickamauga, Ga. to Charles and Jewell Workman. He married the love of his life, Tommye Redman Workman, on March 1, 1954.
He was a veteran of the United States Air Force, serving his country in the Korean War. After his Military service he went into sales and later owned his own successful business . He was an avid tennis player as well as a passionate Tennessee Volunteer fan.
He was preceded in death by his loving wife of 65 years, Tommye Redman Workman. Survivors include children Todd Workman (Vanessa), Mark Workman (Lynn), sister Doris Jackson, Grandchildren Joshua Derek Workman (Leighanne ), Jordan Taylor Workman (Savannah), James Trantam Workman; Great grand children; Lincoln Rhett Workman, Graham Briggs Workman and coming soon Watson Luke Workman.
Visitation will be held Monday October 4, 2021 from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. Graveside funeral immediately following at Southern Heritage Funeral Home.
