Jerry Leonard Crews

Jerry was born on November 5, 1945, in Panama City, Florida, and was raised in Crestview, Florida. He was a proud graduate of Florida State University in 1966 with a degree in Accounting. He worked for 25 years as an Accountant at Arthur Andersen, rising up to become an Audit Partner. He later became a managing partner at Deaton Trucking Company, and finished his career with his own private accounting practice.

Jerry was preceded in death by his parents, Rubye Louise Tate Crews and James Arthur Crews and his brother, James Arthur Crews, Junior.

Jerry is survived by his wife, Mera Oztekin Crews; his sister-in-law, Sherry Crye Crews; his brother, Ronald J Crews (Karen Sue Smith); his children Jimmy Lawrence Crews, Johnna Crews Lombard (Richard Thomas), Thomas Ray Crews; Stepson Brian Jonathan Lavett (Leigh Stone); his grandchildren Morgan Hamilton, Melissa Lee, Richard Thomas, Ryan Christopher; his step-grandchildren Mason Martin and Addelyn Mera; and numerous other loving nieces and nephews and their families.

Jerry loved Florida State University football and all sports. He spent happy days on the golf course, particularly at Hoover Country Club, and loved boating.

Most important to Jerry was spending relaxing family time and helping others in the family. He was always proud of the accomplishments of his family, and the family appreciated his brilliance, advice and humor. He will be missed by all.
