Jim Brewer

BREWER, JIM age 63 of Homewood passed away on January 23, 2011. He is preceded in death by his parents, George and Mattie Ree Brewer. He is survived by his loving wife of 40 years, Jan Brewer; daughter Jennifer Rollo (Tom); son Jason Brewer; granddaughters, Shelby and Josie Rollo, and Gracie Brewer; sister, Jackie Plott; brothers, Max (Shirley) Rigsby, Garnet (Reba) Rigsby and, Larry (Pam) Brewer; and numerous nieces, nephews, and friends. In 1978, Jim started building cabinets as a hobby, and this hobby became Brewer Cabinets, an establishment that bore his name and grew to be a business that supported his family for over three decades. He was a great man who cherished his wife, children, grandchildren, and family. He often said how blessed that he was to have such a great family, and how much he adored his grandkids. He loved to work and spend time on his boat with friends and family. Jim will be loved and missed by all who knew him. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, January 26, 2011 from 10:00 to 11:00 at Southern Heritage Funeral Home, with the service starting at 11:00am. Burial will be in Southern Heritage Cemetery. Neal Parker officiating.
