John Leonard Davis

John earned his undergraduate degree from James Madison University before receiving his Juris Doctorate Degree from Mercer University in Macon, Georgia. His professional career was in publishing for West Publishing Company and Thomson Reuters.

John was a member of the Church of the Highlands, Woodlawn Campus in Birmingham. In his leisure, he enjoyed watching Baltimore Orioles baseball games and Alabama Crimson Tide football, and listening to The Rolling Stones music.

John was preceded in death by his father, William Franklin Davis. Survivors include John's mother, Elaine Leonard Davis; his son, Henry Leonard Davis (Jenna); one grandson, John Henry Davis; and siblings, William Franklin Davis (Susan), Gregory Hill Davis (Jill), and Kelly Blanton Davis.

The family is planning a private burial service in Fayette, Alabama.
