Joseph Vincent Ceraso

Joe was born on March 23, 1936 at Hillman Hospital in Birmingham, Alabama. He grew up in Wylam, where he attended Wylam Elementary. He attended Ensley High School, where he displayed great athletic abilities in football and baseball. He was a member of the Ensley HS graduating class of 1956.

Joe served in the Army National Guard for six years and former employment included Nashville Bridge Company, Bristol Steel, and United Testing.

Joe, a man who lived his faith, was a former pastor and current minister at Community of Christ Church in Birmingham.

He was preceded in death by his father, Mariano "Milton" Ceraso; mother, Glennie "Courtney" Ceraso; and brother, Talmage "Bob" Lee.

He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Alice Robinson Ceraso; son, Mark (Lulu) Ceraso; and brother, Milton Eugene Ceraso of Mayo, Florida.

There will be a celebration of life on Saturday, July 13, 2019 at 2 p.m. at Community of Christ Church, located at 4739 Montevallo Road, Birmingham, AL 35201. In lieu of flowers, please donate on his behalf to StJude.org.
