Today is Joe's birthday.
It has hit our entire extended family so hard.  I'm sending hugs from me (because Joe can't) to all those that are hurting.  I love you all and I know how much you must hurt.  Hold tight to prayers, to each other and we will make the world better - just like Joe would if he was still here.  A GOOD man died on June 9, 2012.  I miss him so much...   Connie

I am so sorry to hear of your father passing, you and your family will be in my thoughts and prayers. Your father was a great man and I am honored to have known him.

So sorry to hear of his passing. Our families spent many times together years ago. Praying for the family.

We grew up together as brothers sharing the same trials that life puts forward and in the end we prevailed to be our own self. You were and should be remembered as an achiever of good will and a model for all to model them selves. Rest in peace. We'll  go fishing again one day.

    Dear Connie, Dad reached me today about Joe's passing. Joe was kind and helpful to me and led my dad and me to become Master Masons.  We wanted to be more like Joe. Dad told me about  Joe  and Lilly getting him through high school. Great Servant of God. I will be praying for you and family. May the Peace and Comfort of God be with you.

Just a Grief Away

Grief, the hardest part is feeling so small and alone, being surrounded by many,
Does life always come down to a single point where we are nothing but a speck of
memory so distantly past?
Will you will you remember me, what will you remember of me when I am no more a part of the living,
but instead am returning to the dust?
Did my time here matter to you, does my passing sorrow you, 
do thoughts of me bring you joy, laughter, sadness and tears,
and do those passing thoughts bring you smiles of happiness
to ease your sorrow at my passing, are all those tears for
all the times thought lost that will be no more or things not said and 
done when you thought you would always have more time?
Don't grieve me….Remember me, Celebrate me and Live because of me
Remember all I have taught you, And all the moments we had whether they were good, bad, happy or 
Sad, Honor me in this way and I shall forever be able to Rest Eternally in Peace
And my love will always be with you and carried forever in your heart
Mourn not my passing…But rejoice in my release, For now I am whole again and shall live forever
Free of pain, sorrow and the stress of my mortal presence, In the hands of the Lord I have always held so

Mr Epperson was a good man who will be missed by all. Our thoughts and prayers are with his family.

How fortunate we who knew Joe have been.  He loved life and he loved people: high,low,rich, poor. He believed to relieve the distressed was the duty of all men and he did just that, at the time of their need not just at his convenience. He taught by example.  He has left his family and friends the best of legacies.  My condolences, especially to Connie who treated him so well.
