

FERGUSON, JUDITH ANN, passed away November 15, 2012. She was preceded in death by her parents, John D. and Frances Jones Cuppy. Survivors include Judy's husband, Brant Ferguson; sons, Lee and Douglas Ferguson; daughter, Jennifer Gilliland; daughter-in-law, Amy Ferguson; grandchildren, Abbie Ferguson, LB Ferguson, and Christopher Gilliland; and great-grandchild, Ella Ferguson. Judy was born and raised in Birmingham's Southside community. She attended Our Lady of Sorrows Grammar School and John Carroll High School. She began her working career as a switchboard operator for Ma Bell, worked at several other occupations (most importantly as mother to her children), and retired as Store Manager at Tuesday Morning. She never met a stranger and was loved by everyone she met. Beloved wife, confidant and buddy of husband Brant for 47 years, she was a loving mother to Lee, Doug and Jenni, doting grandmother to Abbie, LB , and Chris, and took great pride in being great-grandmother to Ella. It should also be mentioned that Judy was among the world's great cooks. Visitation will be Monday, November 19, 2012 from 10-11 a.m., with the funeral service to immediately follow in the chapel at Ridout's Southern Heritage Funeral Home, Pelham. Burial: Southern Heritage Cemetery, Pelham.
