

Kay was an active member of Briarwood Presbyterian Church in Birmingham, Alabama. Her profession and favorite pastime was floral design. She and her husband, the late Morris Gene Porter, were long-time owners of the Window Box florist in Vestavia Hills, Alabama.
In addition to her husband, Kay was preceded in death by her parents, William Eddy and Agnes Bean Eddy. Survivors include Kay's three daughters, Penny Loyd, Candy (Joel) Watson, and Sandra Jones; two sons, Rusty (Pat) Porter and Chris (Jan) Porter; grandchildren, April (Kevin) Cook, Lindsey (J.C.) Zannis, Josh (Carissa) Watson, and Jeff (DeeAnna) Watson, Tasha (Jamey) McNeely, Kalah Porter, Jamie (Elizabeth) Watson, and Brian Jones; great-grandchildren, Alex, Ashley, David, Eli, Tessa, Andi, Morgan, Chance, Maelee, Colton, Braeden, Luke, and Dylan; one brother, Marshall (Pat) Eddy; nephew and niece, Curt (Jennifer) Eddy and Kristi Kay (Jeremy) Sachs; and great-nephews and great-nieces, Madison, Morgan, Colton, and Cameron (Katlyn) Sachs; and great-great-niece, Savannah.
Visitation will be Saturday, June 11, 2022 from 2-3 p.m. at Ridout's Southern Heritage Funeral Home, 475 Cahaba Valley Road, Pelham, AL 35124. Immediately following the visitation, A Service of Remembrance for Kay will begin at 3 p.m. at the funeral home's chapel. Burial will be at Southern Heritage Cemetery, Pelham.
