Kelly Rea Colvert

Kelly was born in Tampa, FL on March 5, 1975. She graduated from Wheeler High School and earned the Bachelor of Science in Education Degree from Grand Canyon University. She enjoyed her career in teaching at Helena (Alabama) Middle School and Chase Learning Academy.

Kelly was a member of Shepherd of the Hills Lutheran Church, where she taught Sunday school and served eight years as director of Vacation Bible School.

Preceding Kelly in death was her brother, Matthew Alexander Lee. Survivors include her husband, Kevin Dewayne Colvert, whom she married on October 27, 2004; two sons, Jacob Alexander Colvert and Austin Thomas Colvert; her parents, Rick H. and Merry W. Lee; and one sister, Elizabeth Lee Johnson (Andrew).

Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. Thursday, October 30, 2014 at Ridout's Southern Heritage Funeral Home, Pelham and 10-11 a.m. Friday, October 31, 2014 at Shepherd of the Hills Lutheran Church. The funeral service will be at 11 a.m. on Friday at the church. Burial, Southern Heritage Cemetery, Pelham.
