She was born in Birmingham, Alabama on January 2, 1942, to the late E. Davis and Mary Long. Lillian graduated from Shades Valley High School and then went on to attend Auburn University until she married the love of her life, Charles Pritchett on August 18, 1962. She worked at The Mole Hole for many years and was a proud member of the Molettes.
Lil was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, daughter, and friend. Her greatest joy was her family and serving others. Lil was also blessed with a green thumb and a creative talent that she enjoyed using to decorate for every season. She will be greatly missed but her family and loved ones rejoice that she is whole and in God’s presence for eternity.
Left to cherish her memory is her loving husband of almost 62 years, Charles Hamilton Pritchett; her three adoring children, Michele Ross (Wayne), Stacey Denard (Mark), and Charles Davis Pritchett; her grandchildren, Cathryn Ann Denard, James Davis Denard, Caroline Rose Denard, and Emily Denard Scott (Cole); and her great-granddaughter, Lillian Marie Scott. She is also survived by her sisters, Mary Ellen Long Weisskopf (Martin), and Julie Long Chiles; sister-in-law, Ginger Pritchett; along with nieces and nephews, Evan Prince, Caroline Prince, Chris Pritchett, Lindsey Pritchett Sabens, and Clark Chiles.
A Memorial Service will be held at Oakmont Chapel Presbyterian Church (1817 Patton Chapel Road Hoover, Alabama 35226) on Sunday, January 21, 2024, at 2:00 pm. She will be laid to rest at Alabama National Cemetery on a later date.
