Born and raised in western Kentucky, Lillian was a graduate of the University of Kentucky and a member of Alpha Gamma Delta sorority.
Left to cherish her memory is her loving husband of 34 years, Dr. Sory Chuck Shannon; her three sons, who she was so incredibly proud of, John Shannon, Mark Shannon, and David Shannon; parents, Wendell and Janice Wheeler Rorie of Hopkinsville, KY; two sisters, Jennifer Brockman of Paducah, KY and Jeanette Settle of Hopkinsville, KY; and numerous nieces and nephews.
All who knew and loved her will miss her benevolent spirit.
A visitation will be held at Ridout’s Southern Heritage Funeral Home in Pelham, AL, on Friday, November 1, 2019, from 11:00 – 1:00 pm with a funeral service beginning at 1:00 pm. Burial will follow at Southern Heritage Cemetery.
