

Louise C. Treslar, 92 of Pelham, went to live with her heavenly Father on October 2, 2017. She was preceded in death by her loving husband Russell of 54 years. She is survived by her daughter Sherryl Treslar and son Charles Treslar (Donna); two grandchildren, Robby Turner (Meghan) and Kimberley Treslar; and two great grandchildren, Waylon Tubbs and Kaitlyn Allan Ross. She is also survived by her two sisters, Linnie Odam and Lois Dubrock, as well as many other relatives and friends.
Louise worked in the ship yards in Mobile during World War II with her sisters, Linda and Lois. They were part of the "Rosie the Riveter" era. She met a
handsome sailor named Russell in Mobile, and they were married by the late Dr. Herschel Hobbs. Louise owned two beauty salons while Russell owned two television/radio sales/service businesses. After she retired, she became a volunteer firefighter for the Lakeview Volunteer Fire Department. She had a beautiful alto voice and used it for the glory of God in several church choirs.
She loved to get dressed up and go dancing and was still dancing into her 90's. It was there that she met her devoted friend, Bill Whitfield who preceded her.
Services will be Thursday, October 5 at Southern Heritage Funeral Home, with a reception and visitation at 11:00 a.m. followed by the service at 1:00 p.m.
