

She was born in Glasgow, Kentucky and after graduating from Scottsville High School, she went on to attend Western Kentucky University.
She married Bryan McGuffey on June 27, 1992.
Lynn was a successful teacher and was employed in the Ohio County School System in Kentucky and the Prince William County School System in Virginia. In Alabama, she was an AP teacher and Chairman of the Homewood High School English Department.
Her achievements include: being High School Valedictorian, being a National Merit Scholarship winner, being a Fulbright Scholar, being Teacher of the Year, being Chairman of the English Department, and being a National Board Certified Teacher.
Lynn was very gregarious and outgoing. She loved her family, friends, and church. At St. James Episcopal Church in Warrenton, Virginia, she was a Sunday School Director for twenty years, and then later on, she became an Altar Guild for Episcopal Church of the Ascension in Birmingham, Alabama.
She was a dog lover with two of her own, Joesy and Mazey, and had to pet every dog she met. In her pastime, she loved reading, travel, High School and College basketball and football, church activities, the beach, cooking, and spending time with her mother and her grandmother.
Lynn is survived by her husband, Bryan McGuffey, her daughters, Beth Wilkie and Anne Hulsey, her grandchildren, Elizabeth Rayne Pearson, Madelyn Gray Pearson, Katheryn Lauren Pearson, Camden Hulsey, Noah Hulsey, and Ewan Lawrence Wilkie, and her brothers, Mark Towe (Doris) and Tyler Towe (Roni).
She is predeceased by her parents, Robert Towe and Marjorie Towe, her grandparents, Roy Towe, Toncie Dodd Towe, Warren Weaver, and May Stephens Weaver, and her first spouse, Edward Lawrence.
