June 24, 1926 - June 30, 2014 Margaret Owens MacMaster went home to be with her Lord and her husband, Donald J. MacMaster, Sr. on June 30, 2014. Margaret was a long time resident of Homewood and member of Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church. Margaret was dearly loved by her family and an inspiration to all who knew her. Mrs. MacMaster is preceded in death by her husband, Don, Sr.; parents, A. Brantley and Laura Smith Owens; sisters, Ann (Todd) Thompson and Lois (Leon) Guy; and brothers, Fox and Smith Owens. She is survived by sons, Don (Sherri) and Dan (Nan) MacMaster; daughters, Becky (David) Walters and Margie (Richard) Beckman; sisters, Clarice (JB) Emerson and Mildred (Jim) Cox; brother, Joe (Jane) Owens, Sr.; grandchildren, Kenny, Robert and Ryan MacMaster and Andy, Robert and Carl Beckman; and 8 great grandchildren. The family wants to recognize the long years of support by Margaret's special neighbors, Jack and Barbara Jones, her hospice care by Evercare/Optum, Seniors Helping Seniors, and the visits by Sister Pat (OLS). The celebration of Margaret's life will be at 11am on Tuesday, July 8, 2014 at Southern Heritage Funeral Home in Pelham. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
