Mark had such an infectious grin that, when we would talk, I would try hard to make him laugh or smile. He was so kind to our family in so many ways that no one would ever realize because he never wanted credit.  He thought of the little things that nobody else would. My kids were always so comfortable around Mark and he treated them like his own. He was just someone great to be around- and that is about the best thing you could say about anyone!  He was a wonderful dad, a loving husband, and a loving friend.  He will be so missed! We love y'all and are praying daily for all of you.

Mark was my hero - still is. And forever will be. Coached me and Jimmy Huntsinger while  with the Crestwood Colts; was ever patient and such an encourager. Growing up, I remember walking in to his room as a youngster, looking at all the Alabama Crimson Tide cutouts from the sports page ... stapled to his wall. Made a huge impression on me. I would do the same later. Our paths crossed once again while we both coached baseball together in Pelham, Al a  years ago. Mark Franks. A wonderful friend, dad  and husband; who enjoyed teaching fundamentals of athletics within his community. Most importantly of all, a faithful servant of/for Christ. I wish he had known that I assisted in RCIA a few years ago at the Blessed Sacrament. He would have slapped his knee I’m am sure. Love you Coach Franks. My son Caleb and I are forever indebted to the  light which you cast for us , as well as for everyone else. Peace be unto you and the entire family.

Mark comes from a very great family and loved his family. I have 2 memories of Mark. The 1st was playing basketball with him at his house in Crestwood. He had an awkward looking set shot but the basketballalways went in. The second memory is when I deluded myself into thinking I could hang with him running.  I quickly learned he was too good for me.  RIP Mark.         
Deana, Donnie, Ray, Steve, Gina and Jimmy: I am so sorry for the loss of your brother or uncle. He was a good guy.

I am so very sorry to hear of Mark’s passing.  My family has so many fond memories from many years ago when he was our son’s baseball coach for several years.  He taught Bradley much more than just the game of baseball.  He was a great leader, mentor, and friend.  The wonderful children he raised and his kind and loving wife are a testament to the type of person he was.   We are so sorry for your loss and wish your family comfort and peace during this very difficult time.  Sending love and prayers!

Mark was such a dear friend.   A pleasure to do business with for many many years.   He was kind and considerate. He always was a man of honor and integrity.   I just spoke to him last week.   He will be greatly missed.  My family and I hold him in the highest regard.   May he have a peaceful repose of soul and memory eternal    He is loved. 💔☦️🙏

I meet Mr. Mark thru his deliveries to the fish market restaurant on hwy 280 over 15 yrs now. He was always kind and pleasant, and we always talked Alabama Football. He would ask me who would be the game maker on game day. I will truly miss seeing and speaking with him. To the family you have my condolences. R.I.P MR. MARK

I have known Mark since I was a 17 year old kid working here at Regional Produce ( Yarbrough Produce then ). It just doesn't seem possible that he is gone. I considered Mark a friend as much or more than  just a business associate. I will miss my friend, Mark. 

So very heartbreaking to hear of Mark’s passing.  Such great memories from childhood and high school. My payers and sincere condolences go out to his family. May God’s peace be with Mark.
