Mary Ann Brasfield Ingram

Mary Ann Brasfield Ingram, 93, of Birmingham, Alabama, passed away peacefully on April 18, 2026, surrounded by her three favorite girls: Amy Ingram Williamson, Marie Wellington, and Laura Davis. She is preceded in death by her parents, Rufe and Thelma Brasfield, and sons, Robert (Ken) Ingram, Jr., and Michael Ingram. Mary Ann is survived by her husband of 73 years, Robert (Bob) Ingram; granddaughter, Amy Ingram Williamson (Stan); daughter-in-law, Paula Ingram; nephew, Allen Pugh (Annette); and niece, Barbie Harwell.

Mary Ann grew up in North Birmingham and attended Phillips High School. She was a devoted wife to Bob for 73 years and adored her two sons, Ken and Michael. She was an active member of Crumly Chapel United Methodist Church for 60 years until time of death. She loved her Sunday school class and Daughters of Ruth Circle. Mary Ann was known for her incredible cooking and made the most delicious pound cake. Her macaroni and cheese was always requested at any church event or family get together. She was incredibly shocked but proud when her coconut cake went for $700 at the church youth bake sale.

The family would like to send their sincere gratitude to UAB St. Vincent’s, especially 5 Main CVIC step down unit, 1 South ICU, Palliative care team, and inpatient hospice. The family would also like to recognize the kindness shown by Dr. Frederick Gaskin and Dr. McCallum.

Mary Ann was loved by so many, and the family would like to thank all her special friends who did so much for her - from including her in holiday gatherings to chauffeuring her to wherever she needed to go- we are so thankful for all of you and want you to know how special you were to her.

Visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m-12:00 p.m. with a graveside service immediately following on Wednesday, April 22, 2026, at Southern Heritage Funeral Home in Pelham, Alabama. Brother Ed Sims officiating. Pallbearers will be Allen Pugh, Trey Pugh, Stan Williamson, Bob Shores, Mason Davis, and John Wellington.
