

As a mother of two, grandmother of three and great grandmother of two, Mary Lou instilled her strong values and love of Christ in her family. She led by example, volunteering where needed and giving graciously. To quote her, "I love my Jesus"!
She was predeceased in death by her loving husband of sixty years, Albert Ewell Williams, Jr and son Albert Ewell Williams, III. Survived by daughter Lee Ellen Williams Hunter (Robert); grandchildren, Mary Judith Schuelly (Charles), Albert Ewell Williams, IV , Ellen Hunter Darty (Jacob); Daughter-in-law, Margaret Williams; great grandchildren, Cody Hunter Pinion and Adeline Lee Darty. She had many other beloved family and friends.
Time spent with her parents, siblings, neices and nephews was especially precious to her. Her family was of utmost importance and was loved beyond measure.
Mary Lou graduated from Wheeler Business College and attended Birmingham School of Law. During her long career she helped pave the way for women in business. She enjoyed working in banking, real estate, land development and the coal industry.
A remembrance of her life will be held Friday December 26, 2025 at Southern Heritage Funeral Home with visitation 10 am, service 11 am. Burial at Bivens Chapel Cemetery.
