Mary Jo Sizemore, born on September 15, 1945, passed away on December 28, 2025, at the age of 80. She was a faithful member of Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church in Homewood. Mary had a passion for listening to Elvis, watching NASCAR, and the Atlanta Braves.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Joseph N. and Rose Mary Pilleteri; husband of 60 years Tommy Sizemore; and her brother, Lee Pilleteri.
Mary leaves behind her brothers; Ben and Joe Pilleteri; children, Melanie Self, Rosemary (Richard) Moore, Mary Lee (Michael) Mangina, Tommy (Jennifer) Sizemore, Shane (Rome) Sizemore, Dawn (Andy) Adams;grandchildren, Mary Catherine, Joe, Josh, T.J., Tina, Alex, Emily, Austin, Ryan, Andrew, Sophie, and Ace; 10 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends on Friday, January 2, 2026 from 12:00 pm to 1:00 pm at Southern Heritage Funeral Home in Pelham a service will follow in the chapel at 1:00 pm. Burial will conclude in the adjoining cemetery.
