

68, of Pelham passed away on March 31, 2013. Visitation will be from 4:00 to 6:00 on Wednesday at Southern Heritage Funeral Home, Pelham, followed by a memorial service at 6:00.
Myrle was a graduate of Woodlawn High School, where she was president of the Future Nurses of America chapter; Samford University; and UAB.
After working as a nurse for more than 35 years at Baptist Medical Center Montclair, Myrle was ordained as a minister in the Unity Church. She was an a avid reader, traveller, and seashell collector who loved feeding hummingbirds and spending time with her family. She was a loving, kind soul who accepted people for who they were. She will be remembered for her generous spirit and unconditional love.
She is survived by her dear friend Jim Valliere; her brother, James Edward Coleman of Mobile; her children, Bill Tomlin (Michelle) of Cullman, Jennifer Bowman (Scott) of Portland, Ore., Chris Green (Dawn Dunlap), Angie Higginbotham, and Jeffrey Green, all of Birmingham; her grandchildren Clay and Will Tomlin, Shelton and Hughston Bowman, Coleman and Caroline Green, and Lauren Morton; her beloved cat, Rascal; and countless friends and loved ones.
