Myrtice W. Welch

Myrtice Woodard Welch of Birmingham passed away June 29, 2019 at the age of 87. She was a member of Shades Mountain Baptist Church, a faithful Christian woman, a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend to many.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Lonnie Burton Welch; her parents M.C. and Mamie Woodard; and brothers James Milton Woodard and John Austin Woodard.

She is survived by three sons, Gregory Austin Welch, William Garrett Welch (Lisa), and Wayne Burton Welch (Susan) all of Birmingham; daughter Rhonda Welch Anthony (Steve) of Flower Mound, Texas; 8 grandchildren - Shane Welch, Garrett Welch, Robert Welch, Amanda and Ashley Welch, Mary Todd, Lilly, and Haleigh Frances Anthony; 1 great-grandchild, Joci Gail Welch; sister Carolyn Williams (Lester); and many nieces and nephews.

Myrtice's family will receive friends on Tuesday, July 2 at 10:00 am at Southern Heritage Funeral Home, 475 Cahaba Valley Road, Pelham, AL 35124. Funeral Service officiated by Jonathan Payne to follow at 11:00 am in the chapel. Interment at Southern Heritage Cemetery.
