Nancy P. Walker

Nancy graduated from John Carroll High School, and received a BA in English from UAB and a Master of Library Service from the University of Alabama. She worked for many years at Samford University in the Beeson Law Library.

Nancy was a devoted daughter and was a caregiver to both of her parents in their final years. She enjoyed spending time with her family and was a wonderful and much loved sister and aunt. She had a great sense of humor and was a sweet, kind, gentle, and thoughtful person – we will miss her more than words can express.

Nancy was preceded in death by her parents, Ellis (Bud) Walker and Joyce Walker. She is survived by her brothers, Joe Walker (Jenny) and Larry Walker (Brenda); sister, Janet Varagona (Mike); niece, Kim Varagona; nephews, Tom Walker (Brooke), Tim Walker, Matt Varagona (Mary Grace), and Scott Varagona; and great nephews, Joseph Walker and Michael Varagona.

The family would like to thank Dr. Kevin Windsor and the wonderful nurses and staff of Alabama Oncology and Hospice Services of Alabama for their many years of kind and compassionate care.
