

Olga graduated in 1951 from St. Joseph Academy in Columbia, Pennsylvania, where she served as vice president of the Junior-Senior Class. She was recognized for her exceptional typing skills and musical talent, particularly in piano.
After high school, Olga returned to Caracas and began her professional career as an executive secretary in the oil industry. She worked for Creole Petroleum Corporation and later retired from Exxon Services Corporation.
A gifted musician, Olga had a deep love for music. She played the piano both by reading music and by ear. She also sang in the choir at Our Lady of the Valley Catholic Church in Birmingham. She enjoyed traveling, often taking annual trips, and found joy in gardening, spending time outdoors, and walking.
Olga was deeply devoted to her family and known for her warm, outgoing nature. She never hesitated to lend a helping hand and made lasting connections wherever she went.
She is survived by her daughters, Joyce Pinkard (Shane) and Astrid Freeman (Mark); her grandchildren, Rebecca Pinkard, Patrick Pinkard (Paige), David Freeman (Miranda), Ariana Freeman, and Alexandra Stewart (Kelton); and her great-grandchildren, Grant Pinkard, Breck Pinkard, Wells Pinkard, Joseph Freeman, Ethan Freeman, and Owen Freeman. She is also survived by her sister, Beatriz Werner, and sister-in-law, Nelly Werner.
Olga was preceded in death by her father, Carlos Roberto Werner; her mother, Luisa Elena Werner; her brother, Carlos Augusto Werner; and her sister, Irene Werner.
She will be remembered for her vibrant spirit, kindness, and the love she so freely gave to all who knew her.
Olga's family will visit with friends on Saturday, July 26, 2025 at St. Peter the Apostle Catholic Church, Hoover, Alabama from 11-11:45 a.m., followed by A Rosary Service at 11:45 a.m. and A Mass of Christian Burial at 12:15 p.m. Burial will be at Southern Heritage Cemetery in Pelham, Alabama.
