P. Richard Robinson

P. Richard Robinson, 82, of Hoover, passed away on June 29, 2017, after a courageous battle with Parkinson disease. He was born in Charlotte, N.C. to Ruth and Paul Robinson on July 6, 1934 and served his country in the United States Army.

In 1993, Richard retired as the Southeast Region Operations Manager of the Chemical Division of Union Oil of California after 35 years.

Richard is preceded in death by his parents, Paul and Ruth Robinson; and two brothers, Terry Robinson and Mike Robinson.

Richard is survived by his wife, Ann Ellis Robinson; his son, Richard “Rick” Robinson (Jody); daughters, Paula Green (Phillip) and Pam Bourque (Trevor); grandchildren, Paige Hayes (Dusty); Pamela Allison (Ben); Ashley Tamasi (John); Kayla Simoes (Patrick); Matthew Reynolds; and Meredith Reynolds; and 11 great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his brothers, Ashley Robinson (Jean); Phillip Robinson; and Ernie Robinson.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held at Southern Heritage Funeral Home on Saturday, July 8, 2017 at 2 pm. The family will receive friends from 1-2 pm.
