

She was born in Montgomery, AL on May 18, 1954, to the late William Luther and Mary Richardson Gann. She is also preceded in death by her husband, Louis David Solomon David; and her brother, Pete Gann.
Pamela received a Bachelor of Science in Nutrition from the University of Alabama and retired as a Registered Dietician. She was a member of Saint George Melkite Greek Catholic Church in Birmingham, AL. Pamela David spent most of her life caring for others. First as a daughter and a sister, then as a wife, daughter in law, and a mother. In her professional life, she took care of people’s dietary needs as a registered dietician. She treated her patients as family when she advised them on how to eat better. Her job was very important to her. She also loved the Lord and spent time sharing her faith every chance she got. In addition, Pam loved to entertain. She often opened her home to host many parties and events.
Left to cherish her memory is her daughter, Sarah Ray Shipes (John) of Midland City, AL; her best friend & caregiver- Tracy Pittman, Marbury, AL; brother, Allen Gann (Donna) Snellville, GA; sister, Candance G. Estes (Wayne) Hunstville, AL; two nieces, Carrie Estes Pentecost (Tommy) Birmingham, AL, and Samantha Gurley Huntsville, AL; along with three great-nephews and one great-niece.
Funeral service will be held at Saint George Melkite Greek Catholic Church on Friday, December 20, 2019, at 11:00 am with a visitation beginning at 10:00 am. A meal will follow in the church hall after the service. Burial will be at 2:30 pm in Marbury, AL at Union Congregation Christian Church Cemetery.
The family is requesting that memorial contributions be made in Pamela’s name to the American Cancer Society - Henry County (Alabama) Relay for Life.
