Patricia Marie Pinkston Cutts was called home to be with Jesus, her Lord and Savior, on April 3, 2024 at the age of 76. Born on September 30th, 1947 in Dadeville, AL, Patricia “Pat” was the only child of John and Edith Pinkston. Her childhood years were spent making memories with many close cousins, grandparents, relatives, and neighbors. She told many stories of delivering milk from her father’s dairy and of afternoons she spent reading a book in the field behind her house while propped against her beloved bull, Tinkerbell. Patricia often recalled fun memories such as water skiing with her cousins atop her shoulders and many days spent on her grandparents front porch. After graduating from Dadeville High School, Patricia attended business school in Birmingham where she studied and became a paralegal. She began working for a law office in Auburn and was later introduced to John Cutts by a mutual friend. John and Patricia were married on March 15th, 1969 and lived in Auburn until John graduated with his Mechanical Engineering degree from Auburn University in 1970. The couple relocated to Boca Raton, FL and then to Eufaula, AL before moving to Pelham, AL and finally to their place just down the road in Indian Springs in 1989. Here, they spent many years raising their two children and turning their house and property into a home. The family loved to go fishing together, whether it was at the beach or at home in their backyard creek.
Pat loved early mornings in her garden and flowerbeds and never let a bird feeder go empty or dry. Named after her favorite song, “Over the Rainbow” was the home that was her dream come true. Pat was extremely talented and creative and was a wonderful homemaker. She loved to decorate and also created her own jewelry that she sold for several years. If you couldn't find her cooking in the kitchen or gardening in her backyard, she was likely bargain shopping or visiting her beloved children and grandchildren. Better known as “Gran” by her grandchildren, Pat adored spending time with them all. They kept her life full in so many wonderful ways. Patricia/Pat/Mama/Gran will be missed immensely by all of those whose lives she was an intricate part of. However, we rejoice that she has been healed and that we will all see her again one day in our Heavenly home.
In lieu of flowers, please donate to the charity of your choosing in Patricia’s name.

She is survived by her devoted husband of 55 years, John L. Cutts, Jr; son John David (Katie) Cutts of Wimberley, TX; daughter Kimberly Joy (Jamie) Hall of Bogalusa, LA; grandchildren: Brooklyn Marie Hall (15); Alyssa Nicole Cutts (13); Jackson Kaleb Cutts (11); Londyn Joy Hall (10); Paxton Evan Hall (5); and Tyson Alexander Hall (3).
