Pauline O. Mills passed away Monday, April 25, 2016 at the age of 93. She was a beloved mother, grandmother and great grandmother. As a dedicated member of First Baptist Church in Pelham, she served the Lord with grace and fortitude. Her love for her family showed in countless home cooked meals and selfless acts of kindness. She was a true example of a lady, embodying the compassion, elegance and strength to which we hope to aspire.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Earl Mills; parents, Henry T. and Izola Sewell Ousley; sister, Edna O. Bearden; brothers, Henry Ousley, Jr. and Earl Ousley.
Pauline is survived by her daughter, Emily M. Smith; sister Della Ruth O. Johnson. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Mark S. Smith, David M. Smith, Elizabeth A. Smith and Rebekah L. Smith and great grandchildren, Mary Katherine Smith, Sarah Rachel Smith and Cade Smith and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Funeral services will be Friday, April, 29th at 11:00 a.m. at Southern Heritage Funeral Home with visitation one hour prior to the service.
Pallbearers include family and friends.
