Peggy Poe Boisky

Peggy Poe Boisky, 76, went to be with her Lord this Wednesday, March 16, 2016. Native and lifetime resident of Birmingham, AL, she was active in Briarwood Presbyterian Church for over 40 years in the choir and in Deeper Life Sunday School. A graduate of Shades Valley High School, she was a homemaker in her early adulthood before she became a residential real estate agent for Johnston, Rast, and Hays, whom she worked with for many years. She enjoyed her family and cherished her many friends, including her wonderful tennis friends and their great times on and off the court. Peggy was preceded in death by her parents, Hazel and William Poe. She is survived by her husband, Robert "Bobby" Boisky; daughters, Shellie Jo Jones (Mike) and Suzanne Covert (Larry); grandchildren, Virginia Ann Jones, John Michael Jones, Sarah Grace Jones, Grayson Covert, Courtney Covert, and Claire Covert; brother, Buddy Poe (Josie); nephew, Mike Poe (Jeninne); and great nephew, Andy Poe. Visitation: 6-8 p.m. Sunday, March 20, 2016, Ridout's Southern Heritage Funeral Home in Pelham, AL. Funeral: 11 a.m., Monday, March 21, 2016, Ridout's Southern Heritage Chapel in Pelham. Burial: Forest Crest Cemetery, 5730 US-78, Birmingham. Dr. Mark Cushman, officiating.
