MORRIS, PETER WALLACE, 68, of Hoover, Alabama passed away Sunday, April 10, 2011. He is survived by his wife of 41 years, Deborah, and his daughter, Melanie. Peter retired from BellSouth after 32 years of service. Prior to that, he served in the United State Marine Corps from 1961 to 1964. Through his desire to serve others, Peter joined Civitan International, a volunteer community service organization. In Civitan, he gave his time and knowledge with the continuous goal of helping others through fellowship. During his membership in Civitan, he served in numerous club and district positions, including two terms as the governor of the Alabama Central District. Peter's life as a husband, a father, and a friend will be remembered by those who love him and missed by all. The 6 p.m. memorial service will be Wednesday, April 13, 2011 at Ridout's Southern Heritage Funeral Home in Pelham. The family will receive guests from 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home Wednesday.
