Raymon's loving and gentle, sweet spirit made him the ultimate husband, father, friend, and especially Papaw. He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Sara N. Brown; three daughters, Michele Boyd, Melissa Patmon (Michael), and Kari Ingram (Warren); one son, Keith R. Brown (Katrina); eight grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; one brother, Franklin D. Brown (Joy); and many nieces and nephews.
Raymon, a U.S. Navy Veteran, was retired from the Highway Department of the Shelby County Commission. Since 1973, he was a member of Alabaster First Baptist Church, where he enjoyed singing in the Adult Choir.
Visitation will be 12-1 p.m. on Sunday, November 8, 2015 at Ridout's Southern Heritage Funeral Home in Pelham, AL, immediately followed by the 1 p.m. Celebration of Raymon's Life in Ridout's Southern Heritage Chapel. Burial, Southern Heritage Cemetery, Pelham.
