Robert Bradley “Brad” Booth, a resident of Vestavia Hills, Alabama, passed away peacefully, surrounded by his family, on August 22, 2023 following a lengthy stay in the ICU at Grandview Medical Center, where he was lovingly cared for by the staff of physicians and nurses.
Brad was born June 3, 1980 in Grenada, Mississippi and attended schools in Oxford, Mississippi, Concord, North Carolina, and Vestavia Hills, Alabama where he graduated from Vestavia Hills High School in 1998. Following graduation, he held several positions that allowed his spirit of service to grow.
Brad’s caring nature and tender heart carried over to his many friends who knew they could always count on him. He was recognized by employers for his dedication to work and assisting others.
As a youth, Brad achieved the Boy Scouts' highest honor, Eagle Scout, at the young age of 13. He attended Space Camp in Huntsville, Alabama with a close friend, participated in many youth sports, and enjoyed unique experiences such as “flying” the USAir 737 simulator at the Charlotte Airport Training Center. Brad relished unexpected trips with his father and younger brother to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, the Baseball Hall of Fame, and the Pro Football Hall of Fame. The North Carolina Tarheels were always his favorite basketball team and the Ole Miss Rebels occupied top spot in his college football preference.
Brad had an innate musical talent that he expressed as a member of the junior high and high school bands as well as after graduation. A self-taught drummer, he enjoyed the basement jam sessions with like-minded friends.
