

After graduation from John Adams High School in South Bend, Bob earned an Engineering Science Degree from Purdue University and a Masters Degree in Engineering from the University of Alabama, Huntsville.
Bob's professional career in Engineering included work with Lockheed Martin, Northrop Grumman, Tennessee Valley Authority, and the Gas Research Institute. In his leisure, he enjoyed historic preservation, remodeling, and playing golf. He was a member of Phi Kappa Psi Fraternity, the John Adams Golf Club, and St. Mark the Evangelist Catholic Church, Birmingham.
Bob is preceded in death by his parents, Alex Lee Lott and Mary Jane Lott; his sister, Karen Frances Arens; and a grandson, Alan Robert Lott. He is survived by his loving wife, the former Kathleen Ann Turnock, whom he married on August 27, 1960; daughter, Ann Kathleen Criswell (Rex); son, Robert Colin Lott (Marilyn); daughter, Susan Mary Glidden (Michael); daughter, Linda Jane Lund (James); grandchildren, Patrick Michael Glidden, Mary Frances Glidden (Bryan), Eric Benjamin Lott (Olivia), Colin William Lott (Katlyn), Cameron Ann Criswell, and Ryan Robert Criswell; great-grandchildren, Benjamin Alan Lott, Samuel Charles Lott, and Matthew Robert Lott; several nieces and nephews; and great-nieces and great-nephews.

Family and friends will gather for the Memorial Mass at 10 a.m. on Friday, April 25, 2025 at Saint Mark the Evangelist Catholic Church in Birmingham. Inurnment will be at the church's columbarium.
