Mr. Milam attended Phillips High School. A U.S. Air Force veteran, he was an avid fan of Alabama Crimson Tide football, attending games for over 30 years.
Mr. Milam was preceded in death by his mother, Mozelle Pearman, and his grandmother, Bessie Colvin.
Survivors include Mr. Milam's loving wife of 53 years, Patsy Milam; one son, Robert Eugene Milam, Jr. (Terah); one daughter, Samantha Milam (fiancé Kevin); and two grandchildren, Katie Beth Rice and William Bryant Milam.
Visitation will be 12:30 p.m. to 1:30 p.m. on Saturday, January 9, 2016 at Ridout's Elmwood Chapel Funeral Home, Birmingham. Also on Saturday, the graveside service will be at 2 p.m. at Southern Heritage Cemetery in Pelham, AL.
