Ron Montgomery, born Nov. 22, 1941, of Hoover, Alabama passed away on Jan. 15, 2021 surrounded by his family. He was born in Birmingham, AL. He was a graduate of the University of Alabama. He worked for over 40 years with Regions Bank. He served the Boy Scouts of America in numerous capacities. He was a member of Dawson Memorial Baptist Church, where he sang in the choir for many years. He was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather. Ron was preceded in death by his wife, Charlotte Montgomery.
Survivors include his wife Ann Montgomery, his two daughters, Jann Montgomery and Beth Fort; son-in-law, Andrew Fort; six grandchildren, Ashley Fort, Jason Fort, Wil Deusner, Shelby Deusner, Shiloh Deusner, and Truett Deusner; sister, Joyce Jones of Florida. The family will have a private service.
The family extends special thanks to the staff of St. Vincent's Cardiac Unit and Dr. Duane Shroyer. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations in Ron's memory to The Friends of Winnataska or St. Jude's Hospital.
