Known lovingly as Ronnie, he received his formal education at St. Mary’s of Loretto in Montgomery, Alabama, and graduated from Auburn University with a Bachelor's Degree in Industrial Management. A devout Catholic, Ronnie was a member of Prince of Peace Catholic Parish. He was also a longtime member at Our Lady Queen of Mercy Catholic Parish in Montgomery.
On June 7, 1958, Ronnie married the love of his life, Patricia Anne Grimes, in Montgomery, Alabama. Together, they were blessed with four children.
Ronnie proudly served his country in the United States Army prior to attending Auburn University. After graduating college, he was employed in Georgia with J.P. Stevens & Co. and later in Montgomery as a pharmaceutical sales representative with Warner-Lambert, where he dedicated 33 years.
In his leisure time, Ronnie found joy in running, weightlifting, gardening, Auburn football, Braves baseball, and vacationing at the beach. He had a deep love for animals and was especially devoted to his family. He never hesitated to volunteer at his children’s schools, always willing to lend a hand wherever needed.
At Our Lady Queen of Mercy Catholic Parish, Ronnie was actively involved in maintaining the church grounds and beautifying the landscape. He and Patricia were devoted to their faith, committed to their weekly hour in the Eucharistic Adoration Chapel. They were among the families who helped establish the chapel, leaving a legacy of devotion.
Ronnie was also a dedicated supporter of Montgomery Catholic High School, serving as an active member of the Booster Club. He played an instrumental role in fundraising, designing a weight room for the football team, creating workout regimens, and spending many hours in that weight room instructing and encouraging the students.
He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Patricia Grimes Sullivan, and his parents, Howard Owen Sullivan and Mildred Mary Artmeier Sullivan.
