

She was born in Gadsden, Alabama on March 29, 1935. Mrs. Shoemaker was a graduate of Gadsden High School and went on to study Business at Community College. She dedicated over 35 years as the Office Manager at Shoemaker Pool Services. A proud member of Women in Construction, she had a passion for collecting antiques and enjoyed shopping and buying lottery scratch-off tickets. Mrs. Shoemaker lived a remarkable 90 years and was dearly loved as a sister, aunt, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She especially adored her three grandchildren and her two beautiful great-granddaughters.
She is survived by her son, Michael A. Shoemaker and his wife, Sherrie C. Shoemaker; her daughter, Lynn D. Shoemaker; and her son, Mark S. Shoemaker and his wife, Cammie C. Shoemaker. She was the proud grandmother of Micah S. Shoemaker, Marina C. Shoemaker, and Landon A. Shoemaker, and the beloved great-grandmother of Gianna Rose English and Ruby Adella English.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Floyd Joe Fambrough and Jewel Catherine Underwood Fambrough, as well as her siblings: Joe Morgan Fambrough, Carl Lynn Fambrough, Billie Gay Fambrough, Martha Jane Fambrough, Iris Catherine 'Cat' Fambrough, Jimmie Reed Fambrough, Edd Hillman Fambrough, Jewel Ann Fambrough, Jack Anderson Fambrough, Mary Ruth Fambrough, Arthur Wayne 'Mack' Fambrough, and Betty Joyce Fambrough.
A memorial service will be held on Thursday, May 29th at Southern Heritage Funeral Home on Cahaba Valley Road. Visitation will take place from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m., followed by the service from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. A reception will follow upstairs at Shoemaker Pool Services.
