"Ginny" graduated from West End High School. She worked for several years as a kindergarten teacher at Green Valley Baptist Church in Hoover, AL.
Ginny is survived by her husband, Bobby J. Pirkle, to whom she was married on February 16, 1962; one daughter, Leslie P. Wright (Randy); two sons, J. Gregory Pirkle (Karen) and E. Rick Pirkle (Dee Ann); grandchildren, Cameron Pirkle (Lauren), Anne-Scott Wright, Blakely Wright, Maggie Wright, Riley Pirkle, Lily Pirkle, McKenzie Pirkle, and Ashton Pirkle; and one brother, Jim H. Turner (Gerri).
Visitation will be Friday, September 20, 2019 from 10:30 a.m. to 12 noon at Green Valley Baptist Church, Hoover, immediately followed by the funeral service at 12 noon at the church. Pastor Jeff James will officiate. Burial will be at Highland Memorial Gardens in Bessemer, AL.
Memorial gifts may be made to the Alzheimer's Association or to Southern Care New Beacon Hospice.
