Shawn Draper Thomas, age 51 of Chelsea, passed away on Sunday, March 8, 2015. Mr. Thomas was very much a patriot, as he was the road captain and chaplain of the US Military Veterans Motorcycle Club. He was also active in small group ministries through Morningstar United Methodist Church. Shawn enjoyed many activities and hobbies including grilling with family and friends, vacationing at the beach, and watching Auburn University football.
Mr. Thomas is preceded in death by his father, Toby Thomas. He is survived by his wife, Leah Mary Thomas; sons, Justin Christopher Thomas (Kelsey Elizabeth) and Hunter Shawn Thomas; mother, Sharon Thomas; and sister, Ashlee Pribe (Joseph).
The celebration of Shawn’s life will be at 2:30pm on Friday, March 13, 2015 at Morningstar United Methodist Church. A reception in memory of Shawn will follow the memorial service. The family will receive friends at the church beginning at 1pm.
