Shirley Scott Coggins, 76 of Calera, passed away on Thursday, July 13, 2017 surrounded by her family. Shirley was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She is preceded in death by Leonard W. Coggins; children, Leonard Scott Coggins and Sharon C. Yearber; and sister, Dean Hosey. She is survived by her daughter, Maryland (Brad) Tracy; granddaughter, Jessica (Chris) Ross; grandsons, Cory Tracy, Jay Yearber, and Matt Tracy; great grandchildren, Olivia-Claire Yearber, Graydon Yearber and Weston Ross; brothers, A.C. Scott and Max Scott; sister, Faye Smith; and numerous other relatives and loved ones. In lieu of flowers, please make donations in Shirley’s memory to Children’s of Alabama Pediatric Cancer Research at 1600 7th Ave S. Lowder Ste. 512, Birmingham, AL 35233. There will be a graveside service at Southern Heritage Cemetery on Tuesday, July the 18th at 10:00 am.
