Steven Martin Bell

Steven Martin "Martin" Bell, age 48, passed away on April 11, 2025, in Pelham, Alabama. Born on September 20, 1976, in Birmingham, Alabama, Martin lived a life marked by kindness and a deep devotion to those around him.

He was the beloved son of Steve and Ann Bell and a cherished brother to Landon and Bethany Buchanan (Brian). As an uncle, he brought joy and warmth into the lives of his nieces Layla, Lena, and Logan. His presence will be deeply missed by all who knew him as a caring son, brother, uncle, nephew, and friend.

Martin received his education at Heritage Academy in Vestavia, Alabama. He was a man of faith and found spiritual community at Church of the Highlands.

Known for his love of fishing and NASCAR racing, Martin also had a passion for detailing cars- a hobby that reflected his attention to detail and pride in craftsmanship. Whether casting a line on a quiet lake or cheering on his favorite driver at high speed, he found joy in the simple pleasures of life.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents: Thomas Perdue Bell and Helen Stewart Bell; Eugene Jewell Martin and Noela Chippendall Martin. Their memory remained close to his heart throughout his life.

A Celebration of Life service will be held on Wednesday, April 23, 2025, from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the Riverchase Campus of Church of the Highlands, located at 9013 Helena Road in Pelham, Alabama. A graveside service will follow at 1:30 PM at Southern Heritage Cemetery, 475 Cahaba Valley Road, Pelham.
