

She was born in Birmingham, Alabama in 1941, to the late Abraham and Blanche Gustin. Sue is also preceded in death by her husband, Glen “Blackie” Durham; her son, James Keith Durham; her brothers, Raymond Gustin and Abe J. Gustin, Jr.; sister-in-law, JoAnn Gustin; and brothers-in-law, Doug Scherl and Eddie Parsons.
Left to cherish her memory are her two children, Ricky Durham and Whendy C. Durham; granddaughter, Christina (Mac) Durham; great-grandchildren, Bodie James Carmichael and Colton Charles Carmichael; dear family friends, Frank Parks and Angela Callahan; and her siblings, Elizabeth Scherl; Fred W. (Mary Jo) Gustin; and Bebe (Paul) Lindsey. She is also survived by Josephine Gustin; Linda Gustin; many nieces, nephews, and cousins, and her beloved dog, Cotton.
Sue was a graduate of John Carroll Catholic High School. She loyally volunteered at Oak Mountain Ministries and was beautiful at emulating Jesus’ love for one another. Sue will be forever loved by all who knew her.
Visitation will be held at Our Lady of the Valley Catholic Church on Friday, July 29, 2022, from 12:00 pm to 1:00 pm with a funeral mass beginning at 1:00 pm. A private family burial will follow at Southern Heritage Cemetery.
