

Susan Wilson Falls, age 64, of Vestavia Hills, passed away on Monday, April 6, 2020. She attended The University of Alabama and was a member of Zeta Tau Alpha Sorority. Susan was a teacher at Pelham High School where she taught computer, mentored the girl’s golf team and was the Anchor Club sponsor. After retirement she moved from Alabama to Colorado Springs, CO with her husband Lt. Col. Joseph Milton Falls, Jr., U.S. Army (Ret.). They enjoyed traveling, playing golf, motorcycle rides, attending concerts and, of course, Alabama Football. They made it back to Alabama often to see family and attend games. She was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by many friends and loved ones.
Susan is preceded in death by her father, Charles “Chuck” William Wilson; her mother, Barbara "Bobbie" Wilson; brother-in-law, Bucky Hodges; and nephew, Presley Hodges, Jr. She is survived by her husband, Lt. Col. Joseph M. Falls, sister Sandra Hodges; and nephew, Leland Hodges.
In light of the times, A graveside service for Susan will be Saturday, June 13, 2020 at 11:00 a.m. She will be laid to rest at Southern Heritage Cemetery in Pelham, AL. Susan loved animals therefore, should friends desire, memorial donations may be made to the Alabama Wildlife Center at Oak Mountain State Park or your local humane shelter.
