.WILLIAMSON, SYLVIA ROMAIN, 79, of Mountain Brook, died Monday morning, April 19, 2010. She was born May 1, 1930 in Tuscaloosa to Lester John Romain and Luci Sullivan Romain. Mrs. Williamson faithfully offered up prayers for others. She will also be remembered for her love of art and paintings. Preceding Mrs. Williamson in death were her husband, Neil, and their grandson, Todd. Survivors include one son, Jim Williamson (Jana) of Panama City Beach, Florida; two daughters, Gail Stevens (Richard) of Birmingham and Ginny Frings (Michael) of Cincinnati, Ohio; grandchildren, Sherry Williamson Core, Cindy Williamson, Regan Stevens, Eric Frings, Faith Frings, and Kristen Frings; one sister, Mary Rozear of Atlanta, Georgia; and loving nieces and nephews. Visitation will be from 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. on Friday, April 23, 2010 at St. Peter the Apostle Catholic Church in Hoover. The Mass of Christian Burial will be the same day at 10:30 a.m. at the church. The committal service will follow immediately at Southern Heritage Cemetery, Pelham. The family expresses appreciation for Lucile Mathews, Mrs. Williamson's friend of 34 years, and for the special care from her doctors and Always There.
