Elizabeth was born on December 3, 1979, in Huntsville. She met her beloved husband, Matt, while attending the University of Montevallo, and they married in 2005. Elizabeth went on to a successful career in politics, serving on numerous campaign staffs and later with the Alabama Legislature.
Elizabeth had an inviting spirit and warmth that people felt in her presence. Her infectious personality was known to all, and her sharp wit and humor always provided much entertainment and laughter. At parties and family events, she could hold a room captive with her anecdotes and tales. She could immediately make a stranger feel at home, and she always remembered events and happenings in her families’ and friends’ lives. Elizabeth adored her family, and spent much of her time helping them out in numerous ways. She doted on her nephews and loved spoiling them on birthdays, holidays, and really any day that she could. Elizabeth had a great love for animals, too. Her two dogs, Rascal and Banjo, followed her everywhere and were true members of her family. Elizabeth found enjoyment in the arts, in reading, and caring for others. A genuine, compassionate individual, Elizabeth was constantly thinking of others. She found happiness in her friends and family, and possessed a deep capacity to love.
Funeral services will be held at Plainview Church of Christ in Hazel Green, AL on Friday the 28th at 11am with a visitation starting one hour prior. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to a charity close to your heart.
