Vickie Ann Naish Ashe

Vickie Ann Ashe, 55, of Helena, Alabama, passed away on March 22, 2016. Born and raised in Alabaster, Alabama, Vickie was a kind and caring friend to many, and a devoted wife and mother to three children and two Yorkies.

Vickie worked as a nationally-certified pharmacy technician for three decades. Over the years, she was employed at Eckerd Pharmacy in Brookwood, Winn-Dixie in Vestavia Hills and Chelsea, Caremark, Trinity Hospital, and most recently at Medaus Pharmacy.

Vickie’s love of the Christmas holidays was practically legendary among her family and friends, who can attest to her enthusiastic (over)decorating every year. Her warm, generous heart and fun-loving spirit will be greatly missed by the many people who loved her.

Vickie is survived by her loving husband of 37 years, Stephen Ashe; her daughter, Brandie Ashe; two sons, Nicholas Ashe and John Ashe; her father, Glen Naish; two brothers, Darryl Naish (Callie) and Dwayne Naish (Regina); and numerous extended family.

A celebration of Vickie’s life will be on Saturday, March 26, 2016 at Ridout's Southern Heritage Funeral Home in Pelham, Alabama. The family will receive friends from 10 a.m. until the 11 a.m. memorial service. Immediately following the service, the family will continue to visit with friends at a reception at the funeral home in Pelham.
